I had the same recently, started with the DPF light then after a couple of hours driving, the whole dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and went into limp mode. Fortunately was within 1 mile of the SEAT dealer, 3 hours later, FOC, car returned with a faulty DPF sensor replaced. Hopefully this may be the same for you, I did however prepare myself for the worst, huge cost of a replacement DPF. Suggest get it checked out.
Good luck

How much will the sensor be, also someone told me put some injector cleaner in and that should clear up the exhaust, reckon that will work?
Also is it safe to still drive it around?

I think they said the sensor was about £15, but under warranty if valid. The car will eventually go into limp mode to protect itself, haven't heard of any other suggested methods, so can't comment. There are companies that will re-map to bypass the DPF, don't know if it can be done when it is faulty though, I'm sure some-one will comment soon. Take it to SEAT, see what they say, then make a decision. I have heard that a replacement DPF will set you back around £1000. good luck

The worst thing you can do when the light comes on is panic and switch the engine off. A s said above, hold it at higher revs for a good long drive to clear the DPF out. Usually a good motorway drive in 3rd gear at around 3000rpm is good enough. Other thing you can do is get a bypass for it, have it mapped out, then it'll go better. If it is too late and the dash has lit up like Blackpool, then hopefully it won't be too expensive to fix and if it is knackered, get the bypass instead of a new one, will be cheaper.

You can buy a DPF delete pipe which removes it. Then get it mapped out. Not sure if AMD Essex or others sell them.
