Got a 1.6 petrol BSE engine, 2007 Leon with a misfire at idle, is been to local garage from where it was purchased as its still under warranty, when car is up to operating temperature at idle it misfires on number 1 cylinder constantly and very rarely on number 2, this can be seen on live data on snap on scanner but no management light on, the garage has replaced the obvious coil pack, plug leads, plugs and number one injector, cleaned out throttle body and checked for air leaks, ive told them to take head off for further investigation but they are not willing to do this, car is in mint condition and dont want to let it go but it needs fixing. any suggestions would be appreciated, it also suffered from the dreaded water leaking from bonnet with sagging soundproofing, ive cured this but has water ingress done any damage, any help would be kindly appreciated, just an update today compression’s have been checked and are all ok, timing covers were removed to make sure recent timing belt had been fitted correctly.
