Finally got my service manual and realised why there is no Haines Manual. This is a very complex car. I suppose it has to be to deliver the smooth performance and fuel economy from diesel. Its amazing that such a complicated car appears to be so reliable (touch wood).
I think my servicing will be limited to brake pads, discs, calipers, oil and filter change. Thanks to the service manual, I managed to get the engine cover off and can’t see the oil filter so I suppose its underneath. I would be really grateful if someone could tell me what I need to get the calipers off to replace the pads, just so I can be prepared. In the manual, it didn’t say and the picture didn’t look like an ordinary bolt but perhaps some kind of Allen Bolt or Torx bolt?
If the people on this forum are doing serious work on this complex car, my hat goes off to you.
