    Picking up a 2007 Leon Reference Sport 2.0 TDI 140, will this be the common rail 16V engine ?.
    Somebody told me the earlier Mk2 were PD’s.

    Is that a 16V PD ?
    Is this car going to have the troublesome DPF i keep reading about ?
    I do a lot of small journeys, whats the best way to stop these things causing problems ?
    As you have probably gathered i,m new to the brand and the site.

    I think, but may be wrong, the PD140 Engine from pre facelift cars didn’t have DPF filters. It was just the PD170 and the Ecomotive.

    Mike is correct the PD140 Doesn’t have a DPF and yes its a 16V
