Is it the 150 tdi or tsi?

If it’s a diesel you would want to ask about the EGR issue.. has it went, have they had a delete performed.. look for issues aroud the coolant tank, signs of spillage, check the corresponding area on the bootlid trim.

I had a 184 tdi ST which I absolutely loved. Ran like clockwork to 56k then a £1200 repair bill just out of warranty.

Issue affects these VAG tdi engines.. the regen is over deployed and the EGR valve fails early, not an expensive oart but right in the guts of the engine and a lot of labour to get into and put back.

If you have a vag tdi get the delete done, if you are looking at buying a used VAG Tdi.. I would have to say.. think twice.
