I have just picked up my new MK3 2.0SE. Wow what a difference! 🙂 This is the third Leon I have owned. I still have a MK1 2002 1.9 TDI S with over 100,000 miles on the clock. Its still going strong and drives as good as new. Had the leaking doors but this was sorted by Seat at no cost when the car was 2 years old. Other than that no problems.
Just exchanged my MK2 1.9 TDI ecomotive for the MK3. The ecomotive was ok but very noisy. It was like driving around in an empty barrel :rip:
I am amazed at how good the new one is. Quiet, powerful and so far appears to give reasonable MPG (57 with 200 miles on the clock). I specified the tech pack which gives you DAB, sat nav and LED lights. Worth the £500 currently being offered by Seat. I was looking at the 1.6 TDI but didnt like the 5 speed gearbox. 5th gear is too high meaning that at about 50 mph you have to keep changing down as the engine doesnt have enough torque to pull the gear (like the ecomotive). The new one has made me enjoy driving a car again (also have a motorbike) and all the toys keep me entertained.
    Happy motoring

    Hello,
Never considered a Seat before until i saw the MK3 Leon and was impressed further when i test drove the 5 door 2.0 150 TDI SE model. Currently in the process of trading in a mini cooper s (11 plate) for a leon SC FR, candy white 2.0 184 TDI. Have been quoted September delivery initially but maybe sooner as starting to build next week.

    HI,
Ordered my SC from D.M Keith in York. initially went to Stockhills in Hull after work but sales idiot totally uninterested (prob wanted to get home for his tea 😡 ) wouldnt give me a price for my Mini saying ” well its not like coming to me with a bog standard fiesta” told him to shove it. Went to D.M Keith next day and they were professional and accomodating, spent four hours there – Stockhill’s loss ha ha!
Ordered SC with Technology pack, convenience pack and Interior LED ambient lighting pack. Toyed with idea of 18″ performance wheels but reason why getting rid of Mini is crashy ride on 17″ wheels on small car so sticking with 5 spoke 17″ alloys on Leon.

Just bought a Brand New MK3 Leon FR 2.0 TDI (150) 5Dr- Wow – amazing drive. Previously had Ibiza 1.6 tdi sport which was noisy (in cabin) and felt a bit vague especially in corners. The new Leon is brilliant sticks to the road like glue (in sport mode) and still has a better ride comfort than the Ibiza. Best car I have ever driven. Cannot fault it at this moment (only driven had it 3 days tho). If your thinking about getting one I would suggest you test drive

I Have just bought a brand new Seat Leon 1.4 TSI SE annnnnnnnd I Love it! The engine is brilliant and there is plenty of power in each gear. Also the handling is excellent too. The boot is a brilliant size and the fuel economy is AWESOME!

Just got a FR 2.0tdi 150, awesome piece of kit. only had it 2 days. It was my car of choice as a company car, and it was the TV advert that caught my eye months ago. Ordered it in August and delivery was 14 weeks, i got it Wednesday, it was worth the wait. I could have had another Audi or a Focus within a fortnight, and a Golf straight away, but they just didn’t appeal after seeing the new Leon. I am pleased that i saw the TV advert, because until then i had never even considered a Seat. It does stand out in the car park amongst the sea of Audi’s and Merc’s and a Range Rover, and it is the car everyone comments about. Looking forward to the next 3 years with it.

    Cheers…………Howard

Had mine a week now, and the more i drive it the more i like it, most people at work have also had a go, and the general comments from them are “I want one of those”, and this is people who have high spec Audi’s and Merc’s. I have owned and driven all makes and models of cars in my 30 odd years of driving, but in contradiction of the TV advert, the Leon is the Ultimate driving machine in my opinion.

I’m considering the 1.4 TSI as my annual mileage is low – probably too low to justify a diesel.
So what sort of figures are you getting?

Could be tempted by the 1.6 110 HP TDI 6 speed when it is more widely fitted.
