recently bought a 64 plate 1.4 fr TSI technology pack and having trouble trying connect my pixel 5 via Android auto to the infotainment system

Question, I wanted to link my pixel 5 via Android auto. I don’t think the 64 plate has the android auto option on the entertainment system. Am I wrong? Would I need to update the SD card with the capability? I’ve tried connecting via the media in cable (had to find a 30 pin old iPhone female to usb connection) and also tried Bluetooth via the android auto app with no luck.

I’m sure someone else has come across this??
