2 months in to my ownership of a brand new Cupra 290. Having learned not to keep my foot down in any gear, unless I’m at Silverstone, I’m super-impressed. Mind you she has a mind of her own as on some days she can be reasonably well behaved and do what I say, but then there are those utterly brutal days. Then, I need just to think about going past people and she’s there before me.

And then there is the 4 up, luggage in the boot, selection on comfort on a 320 mile trip ‘Ooop North and she managed 42mpg whilst cruising at 75mph.

But 3rd gear and 4k revs… The noise… That kick in the small of your back… The Audis disappearing into the rear view mirror…

    I’m a fan.

Now how do I get the mirrors to fold in on one click? Oh, I don’t. And how do I get them to dip on reverse? Should not have played with the Settings button…

fold on one click is, I think, in the VCDS software you need to carry out lots of small tweaks. I found a very friendly Cupra owner near me who has the software and did some changes for me, including mirrors folded on one click.
Dip on reverse needs to be set up in the settings menu, then have the mirror control turned to the LH mirror knob on the door, engine running, engage reverse, and move the mirror to where you want it to lower to. Then when you go forwards the mirror reverts to the normal position. But you’ll need to keep the control knob set on the left for it to work. Not when you’ve got the mirrors heating up!
