I’m still trying to get to grips with the technology on my new Leon FR so I’m probably just being stupid, but I can’t seem to get my door mirrors to fold automatically when I park. I can fold the mirrors manually using the control on the door, but there is an option in the Seat Connect in the ‘Mirrors’ section which is ‘Fold in when parked’. Despite this being ticked, my mirrors aren’t folding in when I park. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    hi
the wing mirrors don’t auto fold in when you park or lock the car
the setting on the easy connect enables the wing mirrors to be folded when you keep your finger on the lock button on the key fob
hold the lock button for about 5 -10 seconds
    mirror will fold in

I was disappointed with this as on the Skoda – they fold in when you lock the car (don’t have to hold the button)

    hope this helps

Thanks for clearing that up. It does seem a little misleading that the entry in SeatConnect is ‘Fold in when parked’ when the functionality is actually more like the ‘Comfort’ functionality for the windows. I guess ‘Comfort Folding’ might be even more confusing.

adamant: Great advice. I’ve recently bought a Leon and was about to take it back to the dealer to tell them it’s not working. Thanks for the help.

driven me mad having to hold the button down for that extra time, instead of just “lock, fold” like any normal manufacturer would…
It can be changed apparently if you have the VCDS software on a PC and a connecting cable. You can access loads of programmable stuff and personalise it.
Maybe a friendly dealer? Mine wouldn’t. Or perhaps a non-franchise specialist who’s got the gear?

I do a lot of driving along country lanes and find folding mirrors very handy. I initially thought I couldn’t operate them whilst driving (when I see an approaching vehicle) but I’m pleased to say I was wrong. Turning the switch from top right to top left (fold) position works – but turning from bottom left (left adjust) to top left (fold) doesn’t.
