    Hi,

I Need to replace a duff Instrument cluster on my 2005 mk1 Leon 1.6.
I’m hopong to do this my self and save a fortune by not going to the dealership. My Questions are…..

    Do mk1 Leon’s Use Immo 2 or 3?

Do I have to find the skc for the origanal and replacment clusters?

Do I have to replace the parts like for like or can I upgrade to the units installed in cupra’s ?

Am I barking up the wrong tree and should bite the bullet and take it to a dealership?

Any help with this would be appreciated

    Cheers Morgan

    I’m in Basiningstoke.

Ive taken the unit out to check the part number and noticed that the previous owner has attempted a repair before. Two of the housing clips were snapped off, I’d rather replace it with a used part than try to have it repair again.

Apparently its quite an easy job if you have programs such as Vag-Dash or Vag-Tacho. Had a Qute of nearly £800 pounds from a dealer so it might be worth investing in the programs (avliable for quite reasonable money on ebay), but if your not sure I should be trying this then it would be good to contact those specialists you spoke of…
