ParticipantHi I’m looking at a 08 2.0 t fsi cupra.
I’ve always been into my jap cars so don’t know to much about these so before I go to purchase the car just a few questions.
When does cambelt have to be changed on them as this one has just turned 60k
Also what’s the tuning options for them as yes it’s gonna be a family car but may as we’ll upgrade parts as and when things need replacingCheers in advance rich

InactiveWelcome aboard
Nice to see your more worried about the power options first
Not sure on the cam belt side of things, I too was from Jap background but 100k tended to worry me back then rather than 60k as thats when they got shipped over…
Either way, welcome and enjoy 8)

Lol cheers dude.
So after a never ending day today finally picked up the cupra, great car love it so far.
Went for a spirited drive tonight was impressed with the standard powers but hit the limiter and the engine light has came on, car drives fine no problems with it. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why it’s came on theirs no knocks or ticking from the engine this has got me a little worried. Any help would be great cheers rich
