Recently bought a 62 plate 1.6TDi Copa which I love to bits. Only one major drawback. I cannot get used to the indicator alerts. When radio is on (even low) the click of the indicator is so quiet I can hardly hear it. The indicator lights on the dash are not very bright, and if the sun is shining on the dash I cannot see the lights. This has led to a few “near misses” due to the indicator not been cancelled after making a manoeuvre. Anyone else have this problem and does anyone have knowledge of any “fixes” ? I have recently driven a new Ibiza, and, compared to my Leon, the difference in the indicator alert click and brightness is incredible. Please no comments about getting my eyesight and hearing checked, as they are both good.

I’ve noticed a similar thing. Much less ‘click’ on the indicators than my old fabia. And the flashers on the dash are difficult to see, especially the left arrow when you’re at about 2000 revs as the arrow is right behind the Rev counter for some reason :s

as VAG cars share so many parts, explains why audi drivers so rarely indicate.
Afraid of leaving them on, no doubt.
