Recently bought a used mk2 leon fr+ so I guess I’m part of the family now!
It’s a lovely car, just got a quick question about the auto headlights. The dipped xenons seem to be coming on in bright sunlight (at about 4pm on my way home from work), is this normal or could my sensor need cleaning or something? On a related note – where abouts is the sensor for the lights??
think the sensor is up on the screen near the rear mirror…unlikely to be dirty, I would think.
On the Mk3 there’s a sensitivity setting, but don’t know about Mk2…
My mk2 se copa does the same thing, the sensor is on the left hand side of the windscreen. Normally if you clean it, it will sometimes cure it for a while.
thanks for the replies guys. I gave the car a wash at the weekend and the lights only seem to be coming on when they’re supposed to now! Must try and keep it clean in future :p
