Average speed cameras DO work.

I was caught twice in one day, on one motorway (M40) and subsequently have lost my license.

I got the banning letter through on Christmas Eve, and found out that I will be banned until Valentines day (14/02/2010) and so have purchased a bicycle to get myself to and from work.

This has messed up my life for the time being, so I urge you all to please, watch your speed! Wherever you are!

Gutted for you mate.
The car feels so weird to drive after a period of not driving it. When I had my knee done I wasn’t able to drive for a month, then when I could, it was so weird!
Suppose on a positive note, it is only for 2 months. Could have been for a year.

Yeah I went away for 2 weeks on holiday and when I got back it was weird to drive it! And yeah, 2 months aint a long time tbf! But at least now I’ll think twice about putting my foot down!

On a plus side, you can get a lift down to your local Skoda dealer, Aldershot if I am right, round by the Renault and Pugeot garages, and get yourself a Fabia Estate rear wiper. Get that fitted whilst the car is sat staring at you. Let it know it’s still loved!

It’s a nice thought, however I got my letter through yesterday stating the ban length and fine…

£220 for the offence, £60 and £15 costs = £295!

Ouch.

Are you getting points aswell? If so, that’s got to be declared on your insurance. Even more money!
