Memberhi guys I enquired about the car in the topic header, which I might be getting next week if all goes well, it’s on a 07 plate with 45k miles on full service history 3 previous owners and there’s not a mark on the car, I really want it I got till Monday to let the dealership know. is there anything I should know about this type of car any common faults etc any feedback would be welcomed, I would be part exing my 56plate Leon reference 1.6 for it or should I keep mine?

MemberHi brockas75,
Have you committed yourself (to the car that is)?
I have the 1.4 TSI engine in my Leon and very happy with it (it has about 5k miles on the clock now). Much better than the 1.6 to drive. It pulls away nicely at low revs then really comes to life at 4k revs.
I imagine the 2.0 version is even more fun to drive although will cost a bit more to run. I would consider the 1.4 TSI FR as an option. Not fast but still sub 10 seconds to 60, very refined and extremely cheap to run. I’ve had a few powerful diesels in past but the TSI engine has converted me back to petrol.
Let us know if you go for it.
