Been looking around to replace my 2001 Mk IV Golf 1.9 TDI and the Leon has caught my eye.
Seems to have good specs and more flexible than Audi A3 or Golf VII with engine choice. The ACT would be good but although in base A3 it comes out fairly pricey. Golf only has it in GT, which is silly.
Anyway, the only road test criticism that I’d like some feedback on is the wind noise off the mirrors. Is it that noticeable?
Was thinking of the 2.0 TDI, but as my mileage is now under 10k a year, the petrol 1.4 140 seems to make better sense – no DPF to worry about.
I can’t stand driving in a coal mine and the beige leather package looks good – with Red or Monsanto Red and the sunroof. Grateful for any comments including fuel consumption and discounts achieved.
