MemberHey everyone, I’ve got a new Leon, and the rear windows are manual. The windows seem to drop a little by themselves every few days, and the window mechs seem to have VERY little resistance when operating them. Dead annoying doing 80mph on the motorway and getting bloody wind noise from behind your ears. Anyone have similar problems?

MemberI shall and let you know! The Copa S has “keep fit” rear windows lol, I didn’t have time to wait for the Copa SE which has electric ones, I had only 4 days to get a car, and Seat had none in the country at the time…

ParticipantDo you put stuff in and out of the back?
Believe it or not, you can unknowingly knock the window winders, and the windows might drop a few mm
I drive a ref sport, and these have manual rear windows, and I do it all the time, its usually worse if my daughter has been in the back of the car.
Always tell, as there is increased wind noise

MemberI phoned Hobin, and they have advised me there is a known concern regarding this happening! When the Leon is built the handles are fitted at a 10 o’clock position, and as you go over bumps ect, the weight of the handle slowly turns the mech pinion and opens the window a few mm over a few days lol!
The fix is quite simple, they take the handle off when the window is firmly closed and refit it at 6 o’clock position… Needless to say, I’m booked in for the fix tomorrow.—

MemberDead easy to do it yourself as yours won’t be under warranty. Just wind the windows up as shut as they can be, and then unclip the handle, are refit it at 6 o’clock position. Taking the handle off can be a little tricky though, as you have to push a part of the locking tab a certain way I think on these.
