    Hi all,

About to pull the trigger on a new car, the Leon sc is very high up my list, in fact the varients form the top few positions.

    1. Leon SC 1.8tsi FR dsg (used)
    2. Leon SC 2.0tdi FR 184 man or dsg (used)
    3. Leon ST 2.0tdi FR 184 man or dsg (used)

I am looking for more info on the performance of each model / engine, 0-60 far less important to me than 50-70 (do a lot of motorway driving) does anybody have info or can point to a site etc?

I would love to go for the 1.8tsi for the hell of it, but motorway overtaking is really what matters most, I’ll be doing 15-20k miles a year so will probably settle on a diesel, car will also be a work expense (self-emp) so points towards diesel again.

As much as I admire the sc, the st will probably win out from a practicality pov.

Main thing I’d like to know just now is mid range acceleration.

    Thanks

    Paulie

mid-range is fantastic in mine (manual FR 184 ST), especially in 4th. anything above 2000 rpm the torque just boots you along.
Get some test drives and you’ll see what I mean.
I’m delighted with mine, even after 2 years.
