No I the actual case of the repeater is quite stiff and the clip that holds it in is only plastic. I had to modify it a tiny amount to get it to push into the wing, but when it did it made a really loud click noise as if it broke. I checked and it hasn’t, it’s just never coming out. You cant even move it from side to side like the originals did. If anybody ever tries to remove it, it’ll break off the clip and be useless anyway, and damage the car in the process.
I think i’ll stick to the going in through the wheel arch method if I need to. 🙂
