i got my old 2.0 PD170 to do 15 miles when it said it had 5 miles left

this was done on the motorway @60mph on cruize control though

in my 2.0 TFSI LCR 5 miles left will literally last a few minutes

when i put £10 in i do about 50 miles and the warning light comes on in a 1.4 surely cant be doing 50 miles to a tenner!

7 litres is about a tenner so looks like you will get about 50 odd miles. I’m doing a mileage check at moment on my 1.4 Leon. Theoretically I should get around 63 miles based on 41 to the gallon, but I’ll be surprised if get over 55 (about 36 mpg).

Thanks for that mate I get nowhere near the 41 mpg quoted I’d be happy with like 38 or so but get nowhere near it and also car drinks petrol might get rid if the car, I thought it’d be the perfect family car economical but it’s far rom it

Sounds stupid, but have you given it a good service? sparks, oil, filters etc? tyre pressures? and make sure you arent carrying any extra weight in the boot. simple things first 😀
Iv got a mk1 1.8t , pretty much tip top, and the official mpg for that is 32 but il be lucky to get 24-26mpg, so your not the only one! :tears:
