Good evening everyone! I have checked the notice board about rules and regs so I am going to make sure I’m specific as possible.

I went to view a 2008 seat Leon FR 2.0 DSG (semi auto petrol) last week and fell in love with the test drive. The car was mint condition with full service history from approved seat and 12 months MOT with 0 advisories for years. With only 50k miles I agreed to the sale that day and bought it for £4500.

I am a little worried though when I shouldn’t be (probably). The dealership said they were not sure if it has been remapped stage 1. Plus, when the throttle body closes the dump valve makes a beautiful sound. Tsssssss. So this did make me question the car for all of 2 seconds. When I took the car out for a full out run on the empty motorway (in Mexico) I lined up my favourite straight (approx 2 miles) and floored it. The car didn’t even blink until 160mph and then the Speedo runs out.

What would you say about the performance?

Is this normal for this spec FR or is it likely to have been remapped?

The dangerous speed was a must. There is not a track for me to use within 600 miles and the road as far as I could see was lime I said approx 2 miles.

I am really happy with the car. It’s very comfortable and make me feel warm. If you have any answers about the power and the remapping I would love to hear from you.

Have a great evening all :).
