    Hi all, happy new year

    I’ve got a 53′ reg Cupra TDI with a 10″ sub in the boot. it isnt the biggest but when the bassline comes in I get a horrible rattling noise from the N/S/R arch area. I’ve taken off the plastic inner arch hoping to see something but couldn’t and then saw a plastic vent behind the bumper!.. took that off too and the noise is still there!.. I have also checked underneath incase it might have been a exhaust heat shield rattle but it isn’t that either!!..

    Before I go ripping the bumper off any of you Leon owners have any idea what it could be or if this has happened to you?…

    Any info please would be great!!.

    Sounds silly but it’s not just the parcel shelf rattling is it? Mine does that as the bracket bit where it joins the shelf to the plastic trim is broken. Can you replicate it when the car is stationary or only when driving?

    No defo not the parcel shelf I had it out and it still rattles when the subs come in. It sounds like it could be coming from behind the bumper I have tried to take out the plastic airvent behind the bumper, turned the music up again and the rattle is still there.
