So, after years of bigger, faster cars with bigger engines, I now have a Leon ST 1.6tdi with a DSG gearbox. My wife would like us to get a touring caravan. I have never owned or towed a caravan, although I have towed a trailer. So I need to draw on the experience of anyone here who has or has had a Seat with a 1.diesel engine with DSG gearbox. How suitable is this car for towing, what sort of caravan should I be looking for, towing weight and limits, drawbacks, experiences, etc. All help and advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
