Hi i’m just trying to get a feeling for what are generaly considered the best make and type of tyre for the cupra on standard 17’s? I’ve inherited a car with a different brand on each corner and i need to sort it out.
Are the Falkens as good as the toyos then? I had the toyos on my old car for a while and found them to be a good tyre, but i’ve never really thought of the falkens but they’d be a good option at that price.
Another one on Falken FK452’s here. Around £80 on each corner still. I have found they wear well and grip well too, don’t loose grip in the wet either.
I have and swear by the Goodyear F1 Eagles, on my second set now on my Cupra, grip’s good in wet or dry and wear pretty good, obviously more so on the drive wheel so it’s best like any set of tyres on any car to rotate back to front now and again.
I have the standard 16″, and only use Avon ZV5’s all round. They are so grippy in all weather conditions, and the life of them is amazing.
Got around 22k on the fronts I think. Can’t remember exactly but I know it was over 20k, And no I don’t drive like a grandad. :p
