    Hi all,

Just ordered my new MK3 Leon a week ago, been told it should be here for around June.

Upgraded from a MK2 Leon Se copa to a MK3 Leon Se Tech Pack with the Convenience pack on it.

Has the media system improved much from the old system, ive heard it can play videos, not sure if that’s true or not. Hopefully someone can clear that up for me.

    Thanks

    Kieran

    Hi all,

I am in the same position, ordered a new MK3 Leon FR ACT, fortunately had the car I wanted in the Country so delivery should be late March, but this is only down to me being on holiday in New York.

First ever Seat, always been a Ford man and I am moving from a MK2 Kuga bought new in 2013 but wife thinks it’s too big so I wanted something smaller that she can drive plus a little bit more sporty hence the FR.

    Cheers

    Ray

I think the reason with mine was that it has to be a factory build because of the extra options. Can safely say I can’t wait till it arrives 🙂

Apparently they can play from an iPod through the media system, hopefully they will work if you put them on an SD card as well.

mine’s a 63 plate, built Nov 13. Haven’t tried it as I didn’t think it would, but I know JUST the thing to try it out…..hope yours is all you want it to be. The FR ACT seems like a cracker. Going for 5-door or ST?

Hi andrewpain, It’s a 5 door in Monsoon Grey with 18″ performance alloys and Convenience Pack, also comes with the Tech Pack, the demo I drove was really good with diesel levels of torque which I wanted after the Kuga. After having diesels for the last 6 1/2 years but not doing any where the mileage since retiring have decided to go for petrol, this along with the £20.00 annual tax will be a bonus.

yes, driving a diesel with high torque does make you lazy!
    enjoy it when it comes…

I heard that with a diesel even if your not doing the miles to get the benefit, your still better off if the cost of diesel is cheaper over the year. the leon i have now if the first diesel ive had and found it much cheaper to run compared to my last car (astra) that was a petrol, the only thing with the diesel is the DPF but if you take it on a motorway once a week to blast it out you should be fine.

    Hi

    Kieran,

I’ve just ordered my mk3. Among other options I got the the Tech pack on the offer that includes the Nav, as well as the DAB and LED headlights. Then upgraded it to the Navigation ‘high’ (new out in October) this I believe plays the video and pictures.
This option includes the Seat Sound too.

Have 12 weeks from Friday gone, so a similar time!☺

    Kev.

downside of the diesel is higher initial cost, higher servicing cost, heavier in the front, and the noise.
and threat of imminent crucifixion by local and central government because they’re NOT as clean as we were all led to believe….

    Hi all,

Collected my Leon FR TSI ACT yesterday from Leicestershire, the 130 mile trip home was very comfortable and due to the speed limits on the M1 etc meant that the car was operating in Eco mode for quite a lot of the journey. However, when the speed limit changed it was very easy to get up to speed again but bearing in mind that it’s a new motor I kept the revs down as recommended, this morning I had a play with all the settings and was pleasantly surprised to see that fuel consumption seemed to be 50.3 mpg average which I think is brilliant for a car that is pretty quick. All the technology takes a bit of getting used too but I guess that will come with time, overall very impressed and will get out to have a further play later today, the ride is very good despite being on 18 inch alloys and being a FR has a sportier suspension set up but still very comfortable overall.

    Hi all,

Sorry not been on for a while, work has been getting really busy lately, that’s working at an airport for you.

That sounds like a good choice Kev, I cant wait for mine to turn up im counting down the days lol.

Does anyone know what the MPG is of the 1.6 tdi? wondering if it would be roughly the same or hopefully a bit more.
