    hi Gazr,

i cant get to that bit.

problem is the window is still attached to the runners so i cant get the metal plate out off the door.
when i try and lift the metal plate out it is caught by the runners in there lowest position on the bottom of the door.

i drilled one rivet for 5 minutes today and i couldnt get through to the inside of the door…. thinking of a garage and your friends solution of going to a scrap yard and getting a new one from a car…. if they have any off course – all this over a bank holiday weekend – lovely!!

people of the world (web!) dont seem to have any ideas either, i cant be the first with this problem.
it is annoying that the solotion is so very extreme and expensive considering the part that failed only cost a couple of quid..dont you love th cash black hole that owning a car is?!

    arghhhh :bash: :bash:

    thanks for your help. :good:

i was looking on euro car parts and they supply a regulator with the runners as well as the cable and clips, could i drill out the rivets of the current runners and they re-rivet the runner?

has anyone done this? is it easy/straight forward. i really dont want to have to take it into the garage if possible..
