Not sure if you realise but a remap on a 1.4 will prob only get you about 10-15bhp more for the money you would have to pay for a remap this seems an expensive mod to do, but oviously this is up to you. πŸ™‚

Yer think it would be a good idea. Its quite clear to see how much trouble i had doing this. In the end it is quite simple but just working it out is the hard bit. So a sticky would be good.

Right update on the car. Over the weekend I toke on the task of fitting Koni 35mm front and rear lowering springs. While I had the suspension striped down I found my front shock absorbers were knackered, so replaced them. Kept the shock absorbers standard to keep the ride from being too hard. When putting all back together put some new top mounts on the front as the old ones had abit of play. Just need to get tracking sorted out and job will be done and dusted :good:

Then the wheels 225/4018 RS8 Gloss Black Alloys. These wheels had recently been refurbished by a friend who I bought the wheels off. So are in very good condition. Only put budget tyres on as can’t afford Β£100(min) a tyre for branded tyre. I had the centre caps made by Richard @ http://www.aardvark4design.com he done an absolutely fantastic job with the stickers. Really finish of the wheels instead of having the VW badge there.

Let me know what you think πŸ™‚

Also you my notice afew other minor mods done are:

      Areowiperblade Front and Rear
      Silver Indicator bulbs all round
      Stubby ariel
      LED front sidelights
      Clear white headlight bulbs
      Debadged Boot

Since taking these photos havent done much. Just got new rear wiper. I went for the new golf/polo style areowiperblade. Looks so much better than the old meccano wiperarm that was on there befor. Have also got on order a glovebox insert to go in where there once was a cd changer.

Also i used this site when buying my Leon. You have to sign up and takes a lil bit of messing around but after that there is quite alot of model spesfic common faults on there which i found very handy when buying.

Hello there mate a common fault with all the leons whatever spec is door seals leaking.

Just have a check round all the door seals for any signs of water/water damage.
Also check footweels for any dampness that can occour from this. You can also slightly pull back the seal where it meets the kick plate pannel and look or any water/ waterdamage.
If you do find any door seals damaged its not a big job changeing them but just make sure you adjust your price. Id say try to knock off about 25-40 per seal.

If i think of anything else i will let you know
    Rob
