ParticipantHi All,
I bought a 2013 Leon SE Technology and looking for some tips in updating the Sat Nav software. The dealer won’t help with it, so I’m supposed to go to the official dealer and do the 200 quid odd update.
I want to know if anybody’s tried it themselves and if you’ve come across the same problems.
I followed the “Download updates” from http://www.seat.com/owners/your-seat/navigation.html
Then downloaded the update from http://tinyurl.com/hmybuuo
and followed this guide: http://tinyurl.com/zq4h3t6
The status message I got when loaded was more sort of a “not compatible” rather that error. I’ve put back the original maps into the SD card now and it’s back on the 2013/14 version.
Should I be updating the Software i.e. D350 and try again? I’ve attached
My system info:
Device part number: 5F0035858A
Hardware: 040
Software: 0421
Navigation database:
5F0919866E 0034 ECE 2013/14Many Thanks

ModeratorHi,
I tried this on my 2014 Cupra 280 and it didn’t work.
What I did then was purchase a new SD card from Ebay for around £50, you have to make sure the SD card is new. Search for SEAT MK3 5F sat nav SD card.
If the card is new the system will write its stamp to it and it will work.
I did this for the 2016 update, I then downloaded the 2017 update and overwrote my original card and that actually worked.

ParticipantThanks AndrewJB,
Found a few on ebay, but all used ones. Will keep an eye. Do you know what the V means in the SD card. as in V4 and V6?
Could you please share how you updated the 2017 version? download link/guide etc.

ParticipantDid you ever get to the bottom of how to do the update without going to Seat and paying over the odds? Ive just bought a 2013 Leon and the sat nav sd card is missing. Thinking of buying a v3 off ebay and seeing if I can download the map updates myself..any help would be appreciated.

ParticipantHi,
Sorry, was no luck there.
I tried a bunch of stuff during the first month of getting the car… and gave up. To be honest, I use Waze all the time. Even if you update the maps, I don’t think they are gonna look anywhere near nice as Waze/Google maps. It’s only sort of there for an emergency, and I guess resell value. Maybe get a v3 off ebay for a decent price, but defo wouldn’t bother going to Seat for the updates.
Hope that helps.
p.s. V3 does allow post code search, but it’s not very obvious from the main menu. off the top of my head, it’s kinda of hidden somewhere when you try to enter street. Could look that up if you need it.
Cheers

ParticipantThanks for the swift response, yes I cannot justify the dealer prices for the amount it will get used, I’ve read that the card does need to be paired to the car but I’m not sure if that’s if your going for a newer version. I might bite the bullet and pay £25 for the one I think would have come with the car and see if that works. Failing that it will remain a feature that will not be used!

ParticipantHi all,
Today I attempted to update my 2013 navigation with the 2019 version. It was a fail.
However, I did not back up my 2013 version so have lost this version.
Can someone please copy their 2013 version and send it me so I can download?
Thank you very much in advance
