ParticipantAndrew mate, you just answer stuff way too quick
🙁 i want a chance!

ParticipantGuy who lives 2 doors from me, Brand new Astra last year, 60 miles, complete ECU failure, back to the Vauxhall plant, had a courtesy car for 5 weeks while Vauxhall “fixed” it

ParticipantWelcome mate, 109TDi (is that 105bhp?)
Should map up nicely, maybe 125-130bhp, and loads more Torque too
FSiLeonMike
ParticipantWelcome mate, get some photos of the car up, cos we are all really nosey
FSiLeonMike
ParticipantWelcome to the nut-house
FSiLeonMike
ParticipantWelcome along, loving the white rims
FSiLeonMike
ParticipantI know Celtic Tuning remap the 1.2 TSi
They claim to go from 103bhp to 125bhp, and 129ft/lb to 160ft/lb of Torque
AMD make similar claims

Participant35mm should be OK, just beware of speed bumps and steep ramps
I’ve seen Cupra R’s slammed on coilovers with no serious problems

ParticipantTo be completely honest, I live in Suffolk, so know little about the Tuning Companies in Gloucestershire. Sorry

Participant1) What is the best induction kit/panel filter for actual power gains.
2 schools of thought here, some will say get a good cone filter with a cold air feed, Pipercross and Green are popular, others will say a decent panel filter, with a drilled and smoothed airbox, bit of an open can of worms this one.2) Please can you point me in the right direction of part numbers for larger ARBs? I’m assuming the FR models have thicker bars and that would probably be a decent step in the right direction.
If you are looking to buy new, go for a non OEM one, some of the site sponsors will help you here, (Awesome GTI etc), best to spend the money only once, get it right first time.3) Do any of the VW Golf GTI parts fit the Leon? Would any of these offer greater improvements to braking/handling than Seat parts?
Golf (mk5) GTi parts would be similar to Leon FR or Cupra parts, so yes, there would be common parts, but not necessarily betterFSiLeonMike
ParticipantDepends on what colour your car is i guess
FSiLeonMike
Participantmmm, cheap, how cheap? What colour is you car, if its not black, fit black wing mirror covers, or if its a black car, silver covers, always looks good.
£150 will get you some Eibach Sportline lowering springs, (then you gotta get them fitted)
Its all about what you are prepared to spend
FSiLeonMike
ParticipantHa HA, I got Sportlines too, I found them a little stiffer than OEM, but not too harsher ride, and they did eliminate a bit of roll (but don’t expect them to eliminate it all).
Well worth the money if you want a small tweek to handling, and better looks

ParticipantI must say, being lucky enough to own one of the R&D cars for this exhaust, I got the chance to “try it out”.
The exhaust is great, hard to describe the sound, on tick-over, a nice “rumble/gurgle”, and on acceleration, a sporty sound, but not a cheap sound.
This exhaust is a well needed alternative to the current types available (Milltek, Remus, Blueflame etc), and is easily on a par with these from a quality point of view, but more importantly, the customer service at Scorpion is fantastic.
And. for those interested, here’s the exhaust fitted to my car

FSiLeonMike
ParticipantIndeed they should, I’d take it back if it came from a dealer
